About Me

John received his BS with honors in Economics and Statistics from the University of Michigan.  He holds an MBA from Frostburg State University and an MS in Higher Education from Drexel University.  He recently received an Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.  His dissertation was entitled, “A Tale of Two Private Catholic Philadelphia Universities: How Organizational Change Influences Market Position Differentiation.”

John held administrative positions in higher education from Denison University and Vanderbilt University.  He held leadership positions in higher education at Drexel University, Saint Joseph’s University, and the University of Miami.

John also coached college football at Frostburg State University, the University of Maryland, and Ohio Wesleyan University.  John has extensive experience coaching youth and travel soccer, softball, and lacrosse.

John teaches in the higher education program at the University of Miami and taught in the higher education program at Drexel University.

​

He has counseled hundreds of students and student-athletes on the college search and selection process and has two student-athletes (an 18 year old daughter and a 15 year old son).
